How to Make Fermented Pickles

Ingredients: Fresh cucumbers Salt water Brine Bay leaf Dill Garlic (optional)

Slice cucumbers into quarters. Prepare the brine: 2 tablespoons of salt to 1 quart of purified water

Place the sliced cucumbers in a quart size mason jar.

Add garlic, dill, bay leaf, and whatever seasoning you'd like!

Pour the salt water brine in, just to the "hips" of the mason jar.

Place a fermentation weight on top of cucumbers.

Place fermentation nipple on top and secure with metal ring.

Allow to ferment at room temperature for about 4 days. Serve!
