Pick fresh dandelion flowers from a clean, unsprayed area.
Rinse the flowers gently and let them dry on a clean towel.
Remove the yellow petals from the green base if you want a milder tea.
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove it from the heat.
Place the dandelion flowers or petals in a mug or small teapot.
Pour the hot water over the flowers.
Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
Strain the tea through a fine mesh strainer.
Add honey, dandelion honey, or fresh lemon juice if desired.
Serve warm.
