DIY Poultry Brooder Box For Chicks

What you'll need:

(5) 2X4X8’s (1) 4X8 plywood 11/32 inch (1) 1 X 8 X 6 Chicken wire Screws Staples Staple gun Drill

STEP 1

Cut your pieces to size, and attach them to form an open box.

STEP 2

Reinforce the bottom so that casters can be added.

STEP 3

Attach the casters to the bottom of the chicken brooder.

STEP 4

Build a rectangle slightly bigger than the chicken brooder box and add chicken wire to create a lid.

STEP 5

Make an "L" with your remaining pieces of wood to hold the heat lamp.

STEP 6

Attach the "L" to the top of the chicken brooder box.

STEP 7

Attach the heat lamp and add pine shavings and your baby chicks to their new home!
