What’s so great about it?
There’s so many different variations that can be done! It will give your child or grandchild an opportunity to use their imagination and create something fabulous that even you wouldn’t be afraid to eat! Let’s face it, kids love to make concoctions. Ones that frighten me to my very core when placed in front of me to try. “No thank you, sweetie!” But fear not, this will give them the sense of achievement in creating something that even you will enjoy!
This easy smoothie recipe is simple: Clabber (recipe found here) or whole fat raw milk, frozen mixed berries, and raw honey, but there are so many different varieties you could try to keep the mundane from setting in and your palate satisfied and your little one on his creative toes!
How to make this a low carb berry smoothie or a higher berry protein smoothie:
Replace the honey for monk fruit sweetener. I use Lakanto Classic Monk Fruit Sweetener with Erythritol.
Use yogurt, kiefer, clabber, or greek yogurt for more protein and good gut bacteria! Try making homemade clabber with raw milk! How To Make Easy Homemade Clabber From Raw Milk
Always opt for strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries as they have a lower carb count.
Bump the protein up by adding peanut butter, almond butter, or a protein powder. I like a beef protein powder with no added sugar found here.
Other smoothie swaps:
Feel free to swap out the clabber for raw milk, regular milk, almond milk, coconut milk, or your favorite nut milk.
Try adding coconut water for an added electrolyte boost on a hot summer day.
Add orange juice for extra vitamin C!
Swap out the milk for coconut water and freeze in a ice cube tray. Once frozen, drop in a glass of water to spice things up.
Replace your mixed berries with a delicious in season fresh fruit such as peaches grown by your local farmer for a nutrient dense punch! Or just your favorite fruit will do! Our favorite is the classic strawberry banana smoothie!
If honey isn’t your thing, try adding maple syrup, or coconut sugar.
Reduce the amount of liquid so that the consistency is thicker and freeze in ice pop molds for a fun afternoon snack!
Add a bit of cocoa powder to make it decadent!
Spice it up by adding a dollop of ice cream for that extra creamy texture.
Try adding some fresh greens for added nutrition.
Ingredients:
4 cups clabber (recipe found here), whole milk, yogurt, or kiefer
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen strawberries
¼ cup honey, or monk fruit sweetener for a low carb version

Find out Why We Drink Raw Milk here!
I have been making us smoothies for several years. When we learned Paul (PC) had prostate cancer – just like your dad – we started making them ‘fancier’ with flax seed, watermelon, blueberries – cancer killers, spinach and then all the other yummy fruits we like. Haven’t even added honey. But mmmmmm!!! I sometimes add peanut butter – delish. And nonfat Greek yogurt. They are so filling and it is something I feel good about drinking.
I’ve heard some really great things about boneset honey and it’s cancer fighting qualities. I think it has to do with it’s high mineral content. It’s extremely dark and almost has a molasses like taste. We love it! I sure hope Paul is doing well!
